Dr. Christopher Dorsa grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a pre-med student at the University of Miami where he received a bachelor in Marine & Atmospheric Science as well as Biology. Throughout his schooling he saw a need for a lifestyle-based approach to healthcare, which lead him to pursue his Doctorate of Chiropractic. At Palmer West, as a certified Divemaster, he founded the Scuba Club where students were able to dive the coast of California.
Dr. Dorsa the Athlete
Dr. Dorsa played many traditional team sports including baseball, football, and cross-country, but specialized in wrestling, boxing, and jiu-jitsu. This allowed him to become familiar with many injuries, and realize the need for prevention and performance training for all level athletes. Born with hip dysplasia, Dr. Dorsa had the unique experience of undergoing medical, surgical, and rehab for optimal hip function and performance.
Rehab & Performance:
Beyond basic schooling, he is certified in several rehab, functional movement and screening techniques including: Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab, (FAKTR), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Functional Range Assessment (FRA), and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). These allow for more specific diagnosis and treatment.
As a personal trainer throughout college he has always promoted an active healthy lifestyle. Wanting to expand personal training and his love for movement to a greater audience he pursued certification as a Kinstretch instructor in order to help his patients move better on a regular basis.
Manual Therapy Techniques:
Alongside normal chiropractic care, Dr. Dorsa also uses several hands on approaches to speed up recovery. He is full-body certified in Active Release Technique (ART), which works by manipulating soft tissue, similar to that of myofascial release with the hands. He is also experienced in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization used in application with FAKTR. Certified in Fascial Movement Taping through RockTape, he combines this approach with supportive taping to ensure proper protected movement.
Certifications Include:
Active Release Technique (Full-body)
NASM Certified Personal Trainer
Kinstretch Instructor
Fascial Movement Taping (RockTape)
Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR)
Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
Functional Range Assessment (FRA)

Erica has been a Registered Nurse since 2011. She has always wanted to be a missionary throughout her life which is what led her into a nursing career. She truly enjoys seeing others celebrate life, feeling well and passing the gift of health to one another.
During her time as a nurse, she began to see a decline in health among family members that had been exposed to deadly toxins and gases, industrial and environmental, and also observed countless patients suffer with illnesses that went undiagnosed. This led her to begin working with Dr. Chad Prusmack, a Neurosurgeon & Functional Medicine Doctor. He opened her eyes to a new approach in medicine and received the gift of looking outside the box.
After additional training and research, she decided she wanted to be an innovative assistant to public health issues that were getting overlooked so she teamed up with Dr. Ryan Oblachinski. This collaboration led them to the development of VIP IV clinic so they could help our community live their best life.
